Group Events - Walks, Workshops, & Weekend Escapes...
Group walks, themed workshops and weekend escapes take place in various locations and at different tourist attractions across Norfolk and Europe. Our events provide opportunities for learning and practicing photography in amazing places, also for connecting with a friendly community of creatives. Walks, workshops and weekends are planned and hosted by West Norfolk photographer Jon Clifton.
All events have a relaxed feel, visual themes are provided for those who might need some inspiration but you'll be encouraged to wander and photograph the things that interest you. Advice on composition and camera settings will be offered throughout. Whether you're a complete beginner or seasoned pro, there is always a warm welcome. Unlike some traditional camera clubs (which have their place but can be dull and overly competitive), we use amazing locations as our classroom and run with the philosophy that photography is meant to be fun.
2026 is our seventh year and while favourite locations remain unchanged, each year new events are added to the roster. 2025 saw the introduction of weekend residential escapes and in March 2026 we had our first European adventure to Venice.

Spaces for each event are limited. Please read event pages fully before booking to ensure your requirements are met. Due to the mix of abilities, group walks are not intended to be 'in depth' technical tuition sessions - these tend to work best on a 1-to-1 or couples basis.

What to expect during a photo walk, creative workshop and weekend escape...
• A warm welcome from an experienced, professional and friendly host.
• Amazing locations for photography - fully researched and risk assessed with permissions/licences obtained where required.
• Photography themes to inspire and develop creative vision.
• Relaxed learning and guided practice.
• Freedom to try different techniques and explore your own creativity.
• Uncomplicated advice on composition & camera settings.
• Gentle appraisal of images and lots of encouragement.
• Limited group sizes. Typically a maximum of 7. Sometimes more for our most popular walks, sometimes less for focused workshops.
• A friendly, welcoming and non judgemental environment for learning.
• Confidence through trying new things, meeting new people and visiting new places..
Booking opens to photo walk email subscribers first and then 24-48 hours later, remaining spaces are made available for non subscribers.
