Photo Walk Snowdon
Join me in April 2027 for an epic photo walk adventure to the summit of Snowdon in North Wales.
For this weekend break we'll be spending 3 nights in shared accommodation (a rented townhouse) in Llanberis (the gateway to Snowdon).
Llanberis is a great base for a weekend, while there are only are a few shops, cafes and pubs, there is a lot to see locally, including a ruined fortress, river walk and waterfall. With a backdrop of hills and mountains, the scenery here is absolutely spectacular.
Our mountain walk will take us along the Llanberis Path to the summit of Snowdon, this is considered the easiest and most gradual route to the top. Being a mountain route however, it will be very steep in places with some tricky terrain. With the walk being around 9 miles long and taking anywhere between 5-10 hours (allowing time for photography) - a good level of fitness is required. It will be a challenge but an enjoyable one.
Our Snowdon walk is heavily dependent on the elements - at 3560ft, the mountain has it's own weather system which can differ from bottom to top and can change very quickly. On a recent visit, there was a temperature change of 12° between bottom at 18° and top at 6° - I was wearing a short sleeved shirt at the base, with a jumper, coat and hat at the summit (trousers too obviously!). I'll be keeping a close eye on both the ground and summit forecasts across the weekend before deciding whether (and when) to attempt our ascent. I'll also be keeping an eye on the summit conditions as we head skywards so well placed to call a halt if things deteriorate. The mountain and nature here has to be respected, we will stay as a group with safety in mind throughout our adventure. If I call a halt to things, you'll be expected to follow my lead for your own safety and the safety of the group.
With the summit weather being quickly changeable, views from the top aren't ever guaranteed - we might be in cloud from halfway to the top, or we might get lucky and see mountains and hills as far away as Ireland, Scotland and England - until we're there, there is simply no way of knowing. While I can't guarantee the view or that we won't get wet or cold, even on a grey day the scenery here is spectacular, from distant lakes to sunlight (hopefully!) lighting up the mountain tops, there will be plenty to fill the camera card, an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Booking Cost: £395 per person (single occupancy) - Double Occupancy POA
Rooms can be secured with a £100 deposit (non refundable 14 days after payment)
Number of Available Rooms: 4 - all with double beds (room sizes allocated on a first come first served basis)

- 2 x Guided Photo Walks (Snowdon and locally in Llanberis - Country Park, Ruined Fortress, Scenery and Waterfall)

To request a booking, please email with the name/s of those who'd like to attend, the address of the lead booker and please also let me know whether you'd like to pay a deposit or full balance amount.
I'll reply within 3 working days to confirm availability and provide an invoice for payment, this is payable by return to confirm your space/room. There is a minimum requirement of 3 room bookings for the weekend to go ahead. If you're the first to request a booking, your deposit invoice will not be sent until a second booking request is received.
Please do not make travel arrangements until your place has been confirmed.
Bookings are secured with a £100 (per person) deposit. Deposits become non refundable after 14 days. Full balance is then due 28 days before our trip. If paying a deposit, a separate invoice will be provided with final balance due and due date.
